Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Castimony you consent to the practices below.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), date of birth, address, state, city, pincode, landmark, mobile number.
• Profile data: display photo, bio, languages, skills, body type, complexion, gender, height, weight, hobbies, experience, showreel links, acting interests.
• Production data: house name, CIN, GSTIN, applicant name and designation, contact numbers, casting requirements and consent records.
• Verification records: email/mobile OTP confirmations, security-code events, approval, block and consent timestamps, including Terms & Privacy acceptance records.
• Technical data: login timestamps, device and usage logs kept by our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase).

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account, verify your identity and prevent fraud.
• To display Cast Member profiles (photo, bio, skills and casting attributes) to verified Production Members for casting discovery.
• To operate approvals, favourites, shortlists, safety blocks and legal compliance.
• To contact you about verification, approvals, security codes and important changes. We send no marketing without consent.

3. What other members see

Cast Member profile content is visible to logged-in Production Members with complete, approved access, and vice versa for relevant production details. Your password, OTPs, security codes and exact address details beyond city/state are never shown to other members. Admins can view records for safety and moderation.

4. Sharing & processors

• We do not sell personal data.
• Infrastructure is provided by Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Functions, Hosting), which processes data under Google's terms.
• We disclose data to law-enforcement authorities when required by law — including in cases of nudity, pornography, harassment, fraud or other illegal activity, which may also lead to a permanent ban.

5. Photos & uploads

Display photos are compressed and stored securely with owner-only write access. Do not upload anyone else's photos, ID documents, or nude or sexually explicit material — such content is prohibited and will be removed, reported and lead to a permanent ban.

6. Retention & deletion

• Active account data is kept while your account exists.
• Blocked or deleted accounts have their profile hidden immediately; backups may retain copies for up to 180 days for legal and safety purposes.
• To request deletion, write to castimonyweb@gmail.com from your registered email. Legal-retention records (e.g. bans for prohibited content) may be preserved.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent for non-essential processing, by contacting castimonyweb@gmail.com. Note that core casting data cannot be hidden while keeping an active discoverable profile.

8. Children

Child Artists (under 18) may use Castimony only via a parent or legal guardian account. The parent provides their own contact details, gives explicit consent at signup, and is the data controller contact for the child's profile. We pay special attention to minor safety: children's profiles carry no contact details visible to anyone, and any report of misuse involving a minor leads to immediate suspension, permanent ban and reporting to authorities.

9. Security

We use encrypted transport, Firebase security rules, owner-only write controls, hashed OTP/code storage and admin-gated moderation. No system is perfectly secure — protect your password and never share OTPs or security codes.
